JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION STATUS: Full-time
START DATE: 2025-2026 school year
COMPENSATION: $41,400 - $66,300 based on experience.

Currently, we operate an elementary campus (grades K-6) and a secondary campus (grades 7-12) both in Forest Lake, serving a total of 460 students. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Current Minnesota teaching license in Chemistry and/or Physics (Grades 7–12)

Experience or interest in Environmental Science is a plus

Strong classroom management and communication skills

Commitment to collaboration and ongoing professional growth

Must successfully complete a criminal background check
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Licensure or experience in Environmental Science

Experience working in a charter school or college-preparatory setting

Familiarity with project-based learning or inquiry-based instruction

Experience differentiating instruction for a wide range of learners

JOB DESCRIPTION:
North Lakes Academy is seeking a dynamic and student-focused Secondary Science Teacher to join our Upper School team for the 2025-2026 school year. The teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and rigorous instruction in Physical Science, Chemistry, and/or Physics to students in grades 7–12. The ideal candidate will foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for science while maintaining high academic expectations and building meaningful relationships with students.
