OUR CORE VALUES
SMALLER CLASS SIZES:
At NLA, we are committed to maintaining a small-school atmosphere and intentionally small class sizes—typically ranging from 18 to 24 students in the primary grades and 20 to 32 students in the intermediate grades. This allows us to foster meaningful relationships, provide personalized attention, and support each student’s individual growth from kindergarten through 12th grade.
ENVIRONMENTAL EMPHASIS:
Through our partnership with Osprey Wilds, we integrate environmental learning into everyday experiences. Whether it's outdoor field trips, recess in nature, scavenger hunts, horticulture projects, science electives, or observing natural phenomena like solar eclipses, we strive to connect student learning with the natural world in engaging, hands-on ways.
IQ & EQ:
We believe in educating the whole student—intellectually and emotionally. Our academic foundation is rooted in the liberal arts, including robust programs in the visual, performing, and musical arts. In addition, our “Becoming...” curriculum offers a dedicated sequence of EQ (Emotional Intelligence) courses to support self-awareness, empathy, and leadership skills. NLA is where who you BECOME is as important as what you ACHIEVE.
