Math

Math-U-See (Grades K-5)

Math-U-See is an effective program designed to improve mathematical performance by explicitly teaching the concepts, skills, and content needed to successfully learn and understand mathematics. It is a mastery-based curriculum that is suitable for struggling and gifted students alike.

 

Math-U-See provides:

  • Teacher-Directed Instruction

  • Frequent Cumulative Review

All kinds of learners are engaged by the multi-sensory approach. UDL (Universal Design for Learning) principles is incorporated in all levels..

Fountas & Pinnell Classroom (Grades k-5)

A cohesive, multi-text approach to literacy instruction for all students in grades K-5. The system is designed to support whole-group, small group and independent learning through:

  • phonics/spelling/word study lessons

  • reading mini-lessons

  • independent reading

  • book clubs

Writing by Design (Grades 2-5)
Writing by Design is proven-effective writing instruction for building competence and confidence with learners of all levels and types in grades K–8.  With a foundation in the Six Traits of Writing, it establishes a common language across grade levels  With detailed lesson plans, rubrics, and daily model papers, new and veteran teachers can successfully teach state standards and Common Core writing.
