Assessments

North Lakes Academy participates in three levels of standardized assessments: National, State, and School.

These assessments represent just one measure we use to verify the effectiveness of our instruction and the growth of student academic achievement. Below is a list of the assessments we utilize and where to get more information.

National

The ACT® test is the nation’s most popular college entrance exam accepted and valued by all universities and colleges in the United States. The ACT is based on what students learn in high school and provides personalized information about their strengths for education and career planning

State

The Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCA) is the state test that helps districts measure student progress toward Minnesota’s academic standards and also meeting federal and state legislative requirements. Students take one test in each subject: Math, Reading and Science.
