JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION STATUS: Full-time 

START DATE:  2025-2026 school year

COMPENSATION: $41,000 - $66,000, based on experience.

Serving the Forest Lake and surrounding areas since 1999, North Lakes Academy provides a personalized learning environment designed to meet a wide variety of academic needs. With strong core subjects and a full complement of liberal arts courses, NLA provides quality learning in a responsive learning atmosphere. Currently, we operate an elementary campus (grades K-6) and a secondary campus (grades 7-12) both in Forest Lake, serving a total of 460 students. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid, current teaching license in Visual Arts Education

       Experience teaching various artistic practices, including:

  • Painting

  • Drawing

  • Mixed media

  • Ceramics (both pottery wheel and handbuilding)

  • Three-dimensional art forms such as sculpture and mosaics

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with curriculum development and lesson planning in visual arts

  • Ability to teach a diverse range of age groups and skill levels

  • Familiarity with integrating technology into art education

JOB DESCRIPTION:

North Lakes Academy is seeking a Visual Arts Teacher for grades 7-12 with a strong foundation in various art forms and the ability to inspire creativity in students. We are looking for someone who can guide students through these diverse mediums and encourage them to explore and create their own 3D art. Strong problem-solving abilities are essential, as you will be helping students develop critical thinking skills and navigate challenges in their creative process.
