This is the first year of cheerleading at NLA. The squad is open to 9-12 graders who are very dedicated. Tryouts are held in mid-January, and the season runs through the winter. The Cheerleaders practice 3-4 times a week, and they cheer at basketball games in the evenings and sometimes on Saturdays. They are coached by Cheri Jensen.
