North Lakes Academy Chess Club

NLA Chess Club meets twice a month starting 2nd quarter of each school year and continuing thru May.  The club is limited to 20 members due to space limitations and invariably it fills up within the first two to three weeks.

Chess Club meets after school on Thursdays from 2:15 p.m.-3:30 p.m. During that time members play chess and eat pizza.  It's a fun atmosphere that is a bit on the 'quiet-side' since chess is a 'thinking-game'.  The club usually consists mainly of 6th and 7th grade students, but there are always a few 8th and 9th graders who enjoy being members.

Throughout the year the students are allowed to invite one friend. 

There is a fee of $20 to join chess club which covers food for the whole season.
