Our Vision
North Lakes Academy will provide an environment in which middle school students will learn eagerly, extensively and deeply in order that they will be able to assume productive and satisfying roles in a global society.

Our Mission
We will provide a rigorous, liberal arts curriculum in a small, personalized, developmentally appropriate learning environment.

North Lakes Academy is a public charter middle school that values the dignity and worth of all persons and does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national and ethnic origin, sex, physical handicap, or learning styles/abilities.

North Lakes Academy is an authorized Minnesota charter school sponsored by the Department of Children, Families and Learning. As designated in the school's charter, admission is limited to 200 students in grades six through nine. An open enrollment period is held in March of each year, at which time a lottery is held if applications exceed openings. After that time, applications are accepted on a first come, first-served basis.

The school is located adjacent to the Flyaways Gymnastics Center at 255B NW 7th Avenue in Forest Lake. Bus transportation to the school is provided by Forest Lake District 831 for residents of that district.
